The Death Benefit Fund (Fund) is an optional fund of the Bergen Chapter. Its purpose is to help out the beneficiary of a
Fund member when a Fund member passes away.

Whenever a member of the Fund passes away, a check for $200.00 shall be made payable from the Fund account to
the beneficiary
when proof of death is provided to the Fund Chairman.

All other Fund members are be billed $2.00 for each Fund member that passes away. The Fund is a fraternal, non-profit
Fund, without age limits or physical restrictions.

All members of councils which belong to the Bergen Chapter are eligible to join the Fund. Knight's wives and members of
Ladies Auxiliaries are also encouraged to join.

If a council leaves the Bergen Chapter, the members from that council who belong to the Fund can continue to remain
members of the Fund as long as the remain members in good standing within their council.

Beneficiaries can be anyone and/or even your council if you wish. Applications for the Fund can be found on the Forms page.
